Role Overview
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to support quality management systems, regulatory compliance, laboratory operations, product quality and continuous improvement at a manufacturing site.
The role will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems, supporting audits and investigations, monitoring quality performance, and partnering with laboratory, production, engineering, supplier and customer teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of site quality policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Partner with laboratory leadership on audits, site visits and quality-system reviews.
- Ensure analytical testing procedures align with established corporate standards.
- Work with production and operational teams to investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, suppliers and customers on quality-related matters.
- Manage the site's Learning Management System, including training-module development, assignment and completion tracking.
- Support investigations into incidents, near misses and other events, including analysis, trending and reporting.
- Review laboratory data for accuracy, reasonableness and trends, identifying issues and supporting corrective action.
- Prepare and analyse quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide laboratory support when required and contribute to special quality and improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Science or a related field.
- 2 years of experience with quality management systems in an industrial manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Quality management training or certification, such as ISO or another recognised quality-system qualification.
- Knowledge of relevant state, local and U.S. regulatory requirements, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organisation and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility and quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
