Job Overview

Reporting to the US Chief Financial Officer with dotted-line reporting to the Business Applications Manager North America and the US Business Systems and Technology Manager, the ERP Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business operations and IT to ensure that ERP solutions effectively support our business objectives. This position is responsible for thoroughly analyzing business needs, gathering, and documenting requirements, and translating them into actionable, system-based solutions.

Working closely with stakeholders and technical teams, the ERP Business Analyst designs, tests, and delivers enhancements that improve business efficiency and ensure the ERP system evolves in alignment with organizational goals. By promoting process optimization and best practices, they contribute to the digital transformation and operational excellence of SOPREMA.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand and assess operational needs and challenges.
• Conduct detailed requirements analysis and translate business needs into clear, functional specifications.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather input from cross-functional users.
• Prioritize requirements based on business impact and feasibility.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Design functional solutions within the ERP system to meet defined requirements.
• Collaborate with development and configuration teams to ensure accurate implementation of changes.
• Lead and execute testing phases, including test case creation, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure that delivered solutions meet business expectations and operational standards.

Process Optimization & Documentation

• Analyze, map, and optimize existing business processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and standardization.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, test scripts, and user guides.
• Support change management by providing training and guidance to end-users.

Continuous Improvement & Support

• Promote ERP best practices and ensure consistent adoption across departments.
• Participate in ERP implementation projects, system upgrades, and process standardization initiatives.
• Support data integrity and governance initiatives to ensure reliable and accurate reporting.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business teams, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.

Work with the different IT managers (infrastructure and helpdesk) to provide adequate IT services.

Other responsibilities as determined by the manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in IT or business manager, with a specialty in IT/IS.

2. 5 years related experience in an ERP required.

3. Understand the business processes of a manufacturing company.

4. Experience in managing other systems, such as MRP, TMS and CRM.

5. Experience in database management, such as MSSQL, MySQL, or other similar databases.

6. Experience with project management and budget management.

7. Experience with AGILE methodology, as well as WATERFALL.

8. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

9. Experience with migrating and implementing ERP software.

10. Background in software development an asset.

11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

12. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization.

13. A superior work ethic.

14. Good listening skills and the ability to work well with end users.

15. Self-starter that will take ownership of assignments and drive to completion with minimal supervision.

16. Time management and prioritization skills.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:

1. Travel is required. Up to 20% travel, including the US and Canada.

2. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

3. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
