What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Soprema?
The Logistics Coordinator supports the Logistics Supervisor within a manufacturing distribution environment. The main objective is to ensure that all materials are properly shipped to our customers and that accurate and appropriate level of service and efficiency are met to support a growing operation. This role will be heavily focused in LTL and truck load freight.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Logistics department leadership to accomplish daily and weekly tasks.
· Work with our transportation partners to cover all delivery needs.
· Book LTL freight loads within a 3PL TMS
· Investigate shipping claims and discrepancies
· Support Truck Load freight as needed or assigned by department supervisor
· Support freight efforts regarding RGA (Returned goods authorization) processes.
· Work closely with the intercompany departments to ensure customer satisfaction and service expectations are met.
· Work within control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved
· Respond to customer and staff complaints or inquiries.
· Other responsibilities as assigned by the US Logistics Supervisor or Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of applicable logistics experience; direct LTL experience is preferred but not required.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills
· Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
· Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
· Ability to think and respond quickly, and adjust schedules and operating plans in response to unplanned events
· Ability and willingness to seek and incorporate input from others to develop collaborative solutions
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
· Will work extensively in an office environment (sitting for long periods, repetitive computer, and telephone use).
· This position will NOT require travel to satisfy the position function (although occasional travel to support other team members may be required).
· Occasional heavy lifting, bending, or stooping will be required.
· There may be times that the job requires after hours calls and / or communication from carriers or customers.
Reports to the Logistics Supervisor.
