A fast-growing life sciences organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant to oversee accounting operations and lead a small team on a temporary basis. 3-6 month contract with permanent placement for the right fit. This role manages accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Support audit, tax, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred
- 10 years of accounting experience
- Mix of public/private accounting experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with large ERP systems
- Life sciences/biotech experience highly desirable
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
