What are the responsibilities and job description for the Conflicts Analyst position at Soni?
Soni is supporting an international law firm with a strong global footprint in its search for its first US hires. The Conflicts Analyst will provide expertise in searching, reviewing, and clearing conflicts results. The Conflicts Analyst will sit on the Compliance & Risk Team, and help shape new processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review new business intake requests and collate the results of preliminary conflicts checks, ensuring search terms and corporate hierarchy results are accurate and precise
- Review and clear conflicts results
- Track clients with negotiated engagement terms that contain special requirements around conflicts
- Assist in keeping the firm’s red and amber client lists up to date
- Prepare and implement required screens/firewalls
- Assisting on AML and other client on-boarding requirements as needed
- Explain conflicts issues and proposed solutions to fee-earners
- Help train and develop more junior colleagues and fee-earners
- Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the New York and Connecticut Bar Rules
Requirements:
- 3 yrs’ experience related experience within a lar firm
- Experience/knowledge of US conflicts rules
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using Intapp Conflicts
Compensation; $80,000-95,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
