Plant Accountant

Soni is partnering with a client seeking a Plant Accountant to support financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, assisting with cost analysis, and providing financial insights that help drive operational efficiency. The Plant Accountant will partner closely with plant leadership and operations teams to ensure reliable reporting and meaningful analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate and timely reporting
• Analyze plant performance, explain variances, and present findings to management
• Monitor operating expenses and ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts
• Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and other manufacturing documentation
• Validate actual manufacturing costs and investigate discrepancies
• Identify areas for cost savings and support process improvement initiatives
• Provide support for audits, compliance, and internal financial controls
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Experience or strong interest in a manufacturing, plant, or industrial setting
  
  
  

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
