Soni Resources is partnering with a non-profit, healthcare based organization near Brick, NJ, in the search for a Billing Analyst. This role will support the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the healthcare billing cycle through analytical review, reconciliation, and problem-solving. This role blends strong technical skills with a solid understanding of healthcare billing rules, enabling proactive identification of trends and discrepancies across high-volume billing data.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed healthcare billing analysis, ensuring compliance with payer rules, billing guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Conduct account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and drive resolution of billing variances.
- Build and maintain Excel-based reports and models (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas/functions) to support billing and revenue cycle operations.
- Analyze billing trends, uncover root causes of anomalies, and present insights to leadership for process improvements.
- Support special projects related to billing analytics, data integrity, and workflow optimization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (billing, RCM, finance, operations) to address issues and streamline processes.
- Utilize EHR/EMR systems for data extraction, billing research, and validation (experience a plus).
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, payer requirements, and reimbursement rules.
- At least 5 years of billing experience at a Healthcare organization or Managed Care organization
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, and complex formulas.
- Experience with data analysis, financial or billing reconciliations, and discrepancy management.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and comfort working with large datasets.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
Compensation: $32 - $38/ Hr
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
