Soni's client is seeking an experienced, hands-on AI & Data Governance Manager to lead the governance and lifecycle management of enterprise data, AI systems, and models—with a focus on ERP and ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) platforms. This role is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive data governance program while overseeing operational data functions including database administration (DBA), business intelligence (BI) development, and data integration.
As a critical leadership position, this role will work cross-functionally with Legal, Security, IT, Data Engineering, Trading, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure responsible, audit-ready, and business-aligned use of data and AI across the organization.

Enterprise Data Governance Program
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust enterprise-wide data governance framework across ERP, ETRM, and AI-driven systems.
- Oversee master data management, data quality controls, metadata management, lineage, and stewardship programs.
- Ensure alignment of governance practices with regulatory, operational, and strategic objectives.
- Develop and enforce policies for end-to-end model lifecycle management, including inventory, versioning, validation, testing, drift detection, approval gates, and decommissioning.
- Integrate governance into CI/CD pipelines and MLOps workflows through automation, guardrails, and policy-as-code.
- Monitor model performance and ensure ethical, compliant, and explainable AI deployment.
- Oversee DBA functions including database performance, reliability, backups, and access controls.
- Direct BI initiatives such as dashboard development, data visualization, and automated reporting.
- Ensure reconciliation and consistency of financial and transactional data between ETRM, ERP, and data lake environments.
- Partner with stakeholders in Trading, Finance, Engineering, and Compliance to drive adoption of governance practices.
- Provide training, playbooks, and guidance to business units on responsible data and AI usage.
- Promote scalable, automated, and user-friendly governance solutions.
- Lead the development of audit-ready logging, model provenance, and governance reporting systems.
- Track and report KPIs such as model inventory coverage, data quality metrics, and open risk items to senior leadership.
Experience & Expertise
- 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, MLOps/model governance, or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on expertise with ERP and/or ETRM systems, particularly in financial or trading contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead DBA, BI, and data engineering/data quality teams.
- Deep understanding of model lifecycle management (validation, reproducibility, monitoring, decommissioning).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms, data architecture patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of ETRM processes such as trade capture, confirmations, position keeping, settlements, mark-to-market, and P&L attribution (preferred).
- Proven ability to translate complex governance requirements into scalable, business-friendly controls.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CDPSE, DAMA, or related data governance credentials (preferred).
- Strategic thinker able to balance compliance needs with business agility.
- Passion for data quality, AI ethics, and responsible technology deployment.
- Track record of successfully implementing enterprise-scale governance programs from design through operation.
