Human Resources Generalist

Soni is partnering with a well-established law firm, on the search for a Human Resources Generalist. This role provides an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of HR functions in a professional services environment, including recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, employee engagement, and HR operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage onboarding processes, including prescreening resumes, coordinating with employment agencies, posting job ads, interviewing, preparing offer letters, and handling background checks and new hire paperwork.
• Administer HR policies and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Oversee applicant tracking and maintain applicant flow logs for reporting purposes.
• Prepare and update job descriptions across roles and departments.
• Coordinate the annual staff performance evaluation process.
• Lead and manage employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with HR budget management and reporting.
• Serve as backup for HRIS and compensation administration.
• Organize and coordinate employee events (e.g., Staff Appreciation Week, Take Your Child to Work Day).
• Create and maintain accurate and confidential HR files.
• Support additional HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred; high school diploma required.
• 1–3 years of Human Resources experience required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
• Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Compensation: $61,000 - $71,500

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
