What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator position at Soni?
Soni is partnering with a leading retail organization to hire a Leave Administrator to support a large, multi-state employee population across both corporate and retail environments.
The Leave Administrator will be responsible for managing employee leave cases end-to-end, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and serving as a key point of contact for employees and managers.
Responsibilities:
- Administer employee leave programs including FMLA, disability, maternity, and state-specific leaves
- Manage leave cases across a multi-state population (NY, NJ, CT, PA)
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave questions and status updates
- Track and maintain accurate leave records within HR systems
- Partner with HR and Payroll teams to ensure proper handling of leave-related matters
- Handle high-volume administrative work with strong attention to detail
- Support ongoing system enhancements and transitions
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of direct leave administration experience
- Strong understanding of FMLA and state leave programs
- Experience supporting multi-state employee populations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with employees at all levels
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in retail or large employee populations
- Exposure to union environments
- Bilingual Spanish
- Experience with HR systems such as AbsenceSoft, PeopleSoft, or Dayforce
Compensation: $30-37/hr
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
