We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst with strong expertise in cost accounting to support financial planning, cost analysis, and operational decision-making. This role will play a key part in evaluating cost structures, improving profitability, and driving financial transparency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost accounting functions including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Analyze manufacturing or operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and performance analyses
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to monitor cost drivers and improve margins
- Conduct detailed variance analysis (price, volume, labor, overhead) and present actionable insights
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assist in the development of KPIs and dashboards to track financial performance
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and leadership decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis with a strong focus on cost accounting
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a product-based environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting methodologies (standard costing, activity-based costing, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with financial planning tools and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain finance
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Compensation: $100,000-120,000
