About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to serve as a Project Engineer in the New York (Brooklyn) area. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects from conception through completion, manage client relationships, and oversee design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and review structural systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

Use structural engineering software (e.g., ETABS, RESA, Blue Beam, Revit, Tekla, RAM Structural System) to develop and validate structural models.

Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical documentation in compliance with building codes, safety standards, and client requirements.

Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate structural solutions within overall building design.

Perform site inspections, structural assessments, and support construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Provide value engineering solutions, ensuring safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction.

Stay updated on new materials, design methods, and structural engineering software tools.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (PE NOT required).
- 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering for building projects (varies depending on seniority level). Deep knowledge in reinforced concrete and steel structures a must.

Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, local codes).

Proficiency in structural analysis and BIM software: ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, RESA, Risa-3D, STAAD, Tekla Structures, SAFE or similar.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
