Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced OSP Fiber Splicers/Technicians to support fiber optic network construction, maintenance, and optimization projects. This role involves high fiber count splicing, ribbon splicing, and full lifecycle outside plant (OSP) work across backbone, distribution, and last-mile networks. Candidates must be comfortable working in field environments and traveling across Ohio, Minnesota, and Wisconsin states.
Location: Becker, MN (Headquarters) – Travel Required across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio
Employment Type: Direct Hire (Long-Term Opportunity)
Start Date: ASAP (Post-Interview Process)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high fiber count and ribbon fiber splicing in OSP environments
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks including FTTH, FTTP, small cell, and backbone systems
- Conduct testing, diagnostics, and system optimization to ensure network performance and reliability
- Support full OSP construction lifecycle including cable placement, splicing, and emergency restoration
- Read and interpret network designs, splicing schematics, and construction drawings
- Ensure all work meets industry standards, safety regulations, and quality expectations
Requirements:
- Experience with high-density ribbon splicing and large-scale network deployments
- Experience with OSP fiber splicing and field operations
- Fiber optic certifications are huge plus!!!
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Willingness to travel extensively across MN, WI, and OH
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
