The contract begins as soon as possible and extends through May 22, 2026, covering the current school year.

- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs tailored to students needs.
- Utilize adaptive technologies and materials designed for blindness or visual impairments.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district policies.
- Participate in professional development and district-required meetings.
- Active Louisiana DOE certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required.
- Experience working with visually impaired students in K-12 settings preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work full-time following the district calendar (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
