Candidates must hold a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Professional Teacher License with a Generalist Endorsement (5-21). The license should specifically read: Professional Teacher License #000000, Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21). This role is not open to virtual or hybrid teaching arrangements.
Key responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction to students with disabilities, implementing instructional strategies aligned with Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), and supporting students working on alternative standards. Extensive knowledge of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary IEP teams to meet student needs.
