Key Qualifications
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License with Generalist Endorsement (grades 5-21) is mandatory. Applicants must provide proof of licensure or valid application documentation with the correct endorsement.
- Professional Teacher License must specifically read: Endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21).
- Extensive knowledge of special education instructional practices, including Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) and alternative standards.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience in the IEP process.
- Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with IEP team members.
- Candidates with temporary, substitute, interim, or provisional licenses are not eligible unless the proper SPED License endorsement application is already completed.
