Retail Staff Pharmacist | Gilbert, Arizona

A specialty pharmacy is seeking two experienced pharmacists for a contract opportunity focused on rare and orphan drugs used to treat patients with rare diseases. This 13-week assignment, with the possibility of direct hire, offers the chance to work closely with patients and providers in a highly specialized setting. The position is based in Gilbert, AZ, with weekday day shifts (Monday through Friday).

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense and manage specialty medications for complex, rare conditions
• Collaborate extensively with healthcare providers and patients to facilitate drug approvals and access programs
• Provide clinical expertise and support navigating payment options, grants, rebates, and other patient assistance programs
• Ensure thorough patient counseling and maintain strong provider communications
• Manage inventory and documentation specific to specialty pharmacy requirements
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Proven experience working within a designated specialty pharmacy setting (experience limited to retail pharmacy dispensing specialty drugs will not be considered)
• Strong clinical knowledge of rare and orphan drug therapies
• Excellent communication skills to support high-touch interactions with patients and healthcare providers
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a specialty pharmacy environment
