Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Gilbert, Arizona

A retail pharmacist position is available on a per diem basis to support pharmacies in the greater Phoenix area, including Gilbert, AZ. This opportunity involves joining a team to provide reliable coverage during vacations, holidays, and volume spikes, with a focus on training and readiness for upcoming seasonal needs.

Location:

• Gilbert, AZ, and surrounding Phoenix-area pharmacies
• Most locations are commutable; travel assistance provided for longer distances
  
  

Schedule/Hours

• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., some up to 8:00 p.m.
• Shifts vary based on need; ideal candidates are available part-time, working 2 to 4 days per week
• One 8-hour training shift required, with additional training opportunities available
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pharmacy care in a retail setting with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125
• Manage pharmacy operations, including immunization administration and patient counseling
• Work collaboratively with technician staff; some locations may require independent pharmacist operation
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy system efficiently for dispensing and record-keeping
• Maintain compliance with professional, legal, and safety guidelines
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in retail pharmacy; 5 years preferred for higher compensation
• Active Arizona pharmacist license without restrictions
• Immunization privilege and current BLS certification required
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software strongly preferred
