Respiratory Therapist | Wellsville, New York

Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2 years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking a skilled healthcare professional to provide exceptional respiratory care within a hospital environment. This is a contract position designed for individuals with proven expertise in respiratory therapy, especially those holding Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Valid license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Knowledge of advanced respiratory care techniques and equipment
• Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to remain calm in emergent situations
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients as ordered by medical staff
• Conduct diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis
• Operate and monitor a variety of respiratory therapy equipment (e.g., ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, nebulizers)
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate patient records and up-to-date documentation in accordance with facility standards

$2,270 - $2,394/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
