Location:
- Irwin, PA
- Per diem availability with several regular coverage dates anticipated
- Dispense medications accurately using Pioneer Rx software
- Provide thorough consultations to patients managing 8-15 complex medications daily
- Manage chronic and advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis
- Communicate effectively with Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients, many with low health literacy
- Deliver personalized patient care focused on medication management rather than volume
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize therapy plans
- Licensed Pharmacist in PA with an active license
- Proven retail pharmacy experience; specialty pharmacy background highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 retail drugs
- Exceptional communication and patient consultation skills, especially with chronic disease patients
- Patience and compassion in working with vulnerable populations
- Familiarity with Pioneer Rx software is a significant advantage
