Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications for patients with complex, chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
- Provide compassionate patient care, particularly to Medicare/Medicaid and low-income populations with potentially low literacy levels.
- Utilize Pioneer Rx software (training available if needed).
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with PA Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
- Previous retail and/or specialty pharmacy technician experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with patients managing chronic diseases.
- National certification (PTCB) is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Registration with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (No weekends)
- Lunch break from 12:30 PM 1:00 PM
- Contract duration: 13 weeks with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance.
- Immediate start preferred to ensure smooth transition and patient care continuity.
