Qualifications And Experience
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Connecticut
- Demonstrated previous experience working as an OT in school settings
- Familiarity with a variety of student ages—including early childhood, elementary, and young adult transition programs
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions individually and in small groups
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability for working across multiple school sites and age groups within the district
- Complete OT evaluations and develop IEP-based intervention plans
- Deliver targeted therapy supporting motor, sensory, and functional skills in classroom, group, and one-on-one settings
- Engage in progress monitoring and document outcomes per district and legal guidelines
- Provide consultative support and training to staff and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and teamwork for student success, from preschool learners to those in transition programs
- Foster positive relationships with students and support their engagement in school activities
