This full-time contract opportunity consists of 37.5 hours per week, with flexible caseload assignments to be finalized during the summer. Your expertise will support student growth and facilitate meaningful participation in educational activities.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure valid for work in school settings
- Demonstrated experience in schools, home health, or other healthcare environments
- Understanding of IEP process, documentation, and goal-setting for diverse student populations
- Effective communication with students, teachers, and families to maximize student success
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive therapy plans
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills to adapt to evolving caseload needs
- Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills in the school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to help students access curriculum and school routines
- Assess student needs using up-to-date evaluation tools, and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Document services, progress, and goal attainment according to regulatory requirements
- Provide training and consultation to education staff and families regarding OT interventions
- Participate in team meetings, collaborate on student-centered solutions, and adjust strategies as needed
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain compliance with licensure standards
