Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to pediatric patients with complex diagnoses, including respiratory and trauma cases, DKA, seizures, neurosurgical conditions, renal failure, orthopedic and surgical patients, transplants, and blood disorders.
- Manage critical care interventions such as vasoactive drip titration, invasive line maintenance (ART lines, CVP), ventilator and trach care, CRRT, and advanced monitoring devices including EPIC, Artic Sun, and Belmont Rapid Infuser.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists, residents, APPs, RTs, and resource nurses to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform bedside procedures, discharge planning, and maintain aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Float across units including Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, and general pediatrics as needed.
- Minimum 2 years of high-acuity Pediatric ICU experience is required.
- Current RN licensure with BLS and PALS certifications.
- Competency with EPIC EMR and critical care equipment such as Alaris and Medfusion pumps, Camino device, EV-1000 Vigileo, and CRRT.
- Ability to maintain patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 2:1 depending on acuity.
