Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist in Metairie, LA

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA, is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position starting June 2nd. This role focuses on providing expert clinical pharmacy services in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting, primarily supporting the CV ICU and Medical ICU2 units.

Schedule

• Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week rotation (EOW)
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy care within critical care units.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy for critically ill patients.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for accurate documentation and communication.
• Provide coverage in cardiovascular and medical intensive care units according to shift schedule.
  
  

Desired Experience And Qualifications

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a critical care or clinical pharmacist.
• Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma center required.
• PGY-2 residency strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in-hand.
• Board certification is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system mandatory.
