Soliant is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a collaborative school district near the Hampton, Virginia area. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a strong multidisciplinary team committed to supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. The district values teamwork and strives to align caseload assignments with each psychologist's experience and preferences whenever possible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychological services for students while supporting one to three school sites based on enrollment and district needs.
  • Conduct cognitive evaluations, behavioral assessments, classroom observations, and other components of the special education evaluation process.
  • Analyze assessment data and determine student eligibility in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Lead eligibility discussions by interpreting evaluation results and helping school teams make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Educational Diagnosticians, School Social Workers, speech-language pathologists, and other related service providers throughout the evaluation process.
  • Participate in scheduled child study, reevaluation, eligibility, manifestation determination, and dismissal meetings.
  • Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to develop recommendations that support student growth and educational planning.
  • Maintain timely documentation, evaluation reports, and compliance with district and state requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology
  • Active Virginia School Psychologist license or certification
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Previous school-based experience is preferred
