COVR Cardiovascular OR Tech - Cottondale, AL

Provide expert surgical technology support in a cardiac operating room environment, delivering compassionate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Maintain rigorous nursing standards while fostering positive, therapeutic relationships with patients and their families. Support and encourage team collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule/Hours

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Emergency call participation every third week for 7 days
• Holidays as required
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist in open heart surgeries and other specialty surgical procedures as needed
• Maintain sterile environments and prepare operating rooms according to surgical standards
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Support adherence to hospital policies and procedures regarding surgical care
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of College Anatomy and Physiology I course OR certification as a Central Sterile Processing Technician OR completion of a hospital-approved Surgical Tech certificate course
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CVOR Tech, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty field; candidates with 18 months experience considered if working under highest professional license level
