Facility Lead – Sofidel Tissue
Sofidel Tissue, a leading manufacturer of tissue products committed to sustainability and operational excellence, is seeking a Facility Lead to join our Maintenance team. The Facility Lead will support the Facilities Supervisor to develop, manage, and ensure the execution of daily site operations, maintenance operations, services, for the assigned location. In addition, this support may include facility budgets, facility renovations and new expansions, including estimates on machinery, labor, contractor services, and all other related costs are successfully managed.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Support the supervisor to maintain procedures, facilities equipment reliability, work order planning, parts and supplies requisitioning, work schedules, tools, and equipment under Building Maintenance, and Fire Prevention. This position is to demonstrate that safety of our employees and contractors is a top priority.
- Manage budget and projects for Building Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Fire Prevention.
- Communicate with Vendor and Contractor services that fall under Facility and Services which includes but is not limited to:
- Ground Maintenance
- Potable Water Systems
- Pest Control
- Commercial Dock Systems
- Generators
- HVAC
- Waste Removal (trash)
- Fire Systems
- Domestic water equipment
- Food Vender Management
Building Maintenance & Housekeeping
- General building maintenance activities.
- Support the cleanliness of the entire site.
- Maintain the Proper Documentation, Operation, Housekeeping & Maintenance of:
- Sanitary & Storm Pump Stations including Valve Vaults
- Corridors
- Rail System including but not limited to rail spurs and switches.
- Roof area including Access, Drains, Natural Gas Lines, HVAC, and Exhaust Fans.
- Fence and Gate integrity and operation.
- Test run and verify maintenance on emergency storm generators.
- Maintain Restrooms, Conference Rooms, Locker Rooms, Closets, Safety Walks, Stairs and Offices including furniture and fixtures.
Other Duties May Include:
- Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Escalation of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Leadership experience preferred
- 5 years of Facilities related experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with SAP and MaintainX preferred
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, site prints, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
- Able to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally
- Work environment includes exposure to considerable paper dust and employees and noise levels that will require hearing protection. Temperatures in the plant/warehouse can range a great deal from season to season
- Able to wear and comply with all personal protective equipment (Eye and ear protection, steel toed shoes, face masks, etc.)
