Position Summary:
- Under the supervision of the Senior Bingo Manager, supervise and manage all activities relating to the Uniform Room Department. Oversee daily operations of the resort uniform room. Provide the department with leadership whereby they achieve results in accordance with the objectives, performance, and quality standards established by the SECR. Work closely with purchasing agents to assure the best price and value received. Maintain and update the uniform management, distribution, replacement, and collection of uniform policies.
- Ensure the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resorts emergency procedures are understood and followed by the team members and visitors.
- Enforce Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort service system to include the mission statement, vision, values, and hospitality rules and steps.
- Ensure all proper paperwork and all records are maintained as directed by Human resources.
- Ensure all team members are properly orientated and trained in all aspects of their position
- Maintain hiring, staffing, training, supervision, grooming, and conduct standards are achieved according to department goals.
- Provide guidance to all team members in their professional development so they are prepared for advancement opportunities.
- Lead by personal example in the philosophy of work conduct and personal development that lead to maximum satisfaction and performance.
- Create an atmosphere of cooperation: use sound judgment and fairness in decisions relating to team members.
- Approve payroll for the Uniform room team members to include timecard adjustments, scheduling adjustments, and proper transfer of wages; track all attendance related occurrences for accuracy and ensure all occurrences and removals are issued in a timely manner
- Maintain department budget for labor and expenses and provide documentation for budget variances: make recommendations on capital projects or improvements with equipment to enhance guest and team member satisfaction
- Monitor individual departmental uniform budgets to ensure each department meets the allocated budget allowed: oversee the purchasing of new uniforms to assure the highest quality is met with the least possible expense to SECR
- Initiate and maintain effective communication within the scope of responsibility between departments and the Director of Hospitality
- Assist alterations clerks as needed.
- Submit cost-saving objectives to management as necessary.
- Enforce all Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

- Contact with team members as it relates to uniform ordering.
- Contact with management as it relates to departmental uniform requests.
- Contact with Guest Services Manager as it relates to operations of the uniform room.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two years of uniform or wardrobe experience.
- Must be able to work all three shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license or pass a background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
- Three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Must have a valid Michigan Driver`s License and must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Driver`s License and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier.
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
- Knowledge of the operation of equipment used in construction, alteration, and repair of fabric articles.
- Knowledge of department organization, functions, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Skills in verbal and interpersonal communication.
- Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Skill in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational letters and financial reports.
- Skill in supervising, training, and evaluating assigned team members.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with sewing operations.
- Use of arms and hands. Reaches above and below shoulder level.

- Frequent walking through Casino and Resort, and travel to area buildings.
- Frequently stand, bend, twist, and walk for long periods of time.
- Occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional walking throughout the casino and resort in a smoking environment and contact with the general public.
- Work requires safety precautions and equipment.
- Situations, where safety equipment is needed, may occur.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
