Project Accountant, Construction

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing union payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software. The Project Accountant will play a crucial part in supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, including posting debits and credits.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
• Conduct technical accounting tasks as needed, including governmental accounting when applicable.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
• Provide support during audits by preparing required documentation and reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Accountant/Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with specific software is a plus).
• Knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations.
• Familiarity with GAAP standards and financial concepts.
• Ability to perform account analysis and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
