SNI Companies is searching for an Outside Sales Representative to support our client in the Houston, TX area! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in B2B outside sales, strong organizational skills, and a drive for success.
The Residential Outside Sales Representative role balances new sales and account management responsibilities.
New Sales Responsibilities:
- Develop a target list of custom home builders in the specified market
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite products daily including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Utilize Microsoft D365 to track all opportunities from discovery to close of sale
- Utilize provided local building permit data to determine target accounts
- Stay up to date on current industry trends and best practices to incorporate them into sale presentation strategy and execution
- Accurately read house plans and blue prints to develop accurate material lists for a sale
- Accurately use a tape measure to check framing sizes on residential job sites
Account Management Responsibilities:
- Build a strong consultative sales strategy to be viewed as a product expert in the market
- Work with builders, architects, and interior designers to complete projects
- Identify areas on the house plans that will pose a challenge and bring them to the builders attention prior to installation
- Assist with managing the jobsite and working with builders to get the jobsite ready for installation
- Respond to sales leads in a urgent timeframe
- Undertake other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in B2B product sales, preferably in manufacturing, building, architectural, design, or related industries
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B outside hunting sales role
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience growing a customer base and onboarding new accounts
- Experience in a consultative sales role
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
- Willingness to work on dynamic jobsites
- Reliable and working vehicle
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs
