About the Project

A leading tourism research firm has a year-long initiative gathering valuable insights from visitors across the region to support future tourism planning. We are seeking two professional, outgoing, and reliable surveyors to support this important project.

Position Overview

Surveyors will conduct in-person interviews with visitors who live outside of San Diego County. Using company-provided iPads, surveyors will engage visitors at various high-traffic locations and ask a series of questions about their trip, experience, and overall satisfaction.

This is a great role for individuals who are personable, comfortable approaching the public, and enjoy working outdoors in a dynamic environment.

Weekly Work Schedule

Surveyor 1:

• Friday: 10am–4pm

• Saturday: 10am–4pm

• Sunday: 10am–4pm

Surveyor 2:

• Saturday: 10am–4pm

• Sunday: 10am–4pm

Note: While the schedule will remain consistent for most of the year, certain weeks may require additional or adjusted shifts to ensure adequate visitor representation. Any changes will be communicated well in advance and coordinated with availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Approach visitors and conduct in-person surveys using a provided iPad

• Accurately record responses and follow all survey protocols

• Represent the project in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner

• Follow assigned schedule and arrive on time to designated survey locations

• Participate in a virtual Zoom training and an in-person training on the first day

• Maintain regular communication with the project team
