Computer Aided Design Drafter

The CAD Drafter will prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed engineering drawings. A solid understanding of energy industry drafting techniques and engineering terminology is required. The ideal candidate has a strong drafting background with expertise in 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This individual will effectively manage time to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely project deliverables while collaborating with project teams and communicating clearly throughout the design process.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing professional development.

• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with project teams to complete project deliverables accurately and on schedule.
• Communicate design intent, expectations, and project timelines.
• Complete drafting assignments within established schedules.
• Create, organize, and maintain CAD files.
• Prepare and modify engineering drawings in accordance with established drafting standards.
• Review and verify drawings and models prior to final submission.
• Generate project deliverables using Adobe Acrobat.
• Complete assignments within established project budgets and schedules.
• Continuously improve technical and professional skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Previous experience in the oil & gas, energy, utility, or industrial sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
• Experience with piping design and/or CADWorx is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
