What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at SNI Companies?
This is a temporary position covering a maternity leave. This is 100% on-site in Newburyport, MA
Inventory & Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Utilizing an ERP (Integrated Accounting System)
- Receive inventory & maintain inventory levels
- Process inventory adjustments
- Review and enter all vendor invoices
- Manage freight and duty billing
- Manage check runs and prepare outgoing wire payments
- Reconcile accruals account
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and credits with customers
General Responsibilities:
- Tracking and managing shipments with overseas vendors and freight companies
- General office support
- Offices supplies ordering
- Manage mail distribution
- Telephone attendant
- Contribute to the ‘team’ and possess the initiative to take on an ever-changing list of tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Firm understanding of purchasing and receiving inventory
- Experience with an ERP, NetSuite a plus (3 years experience required)
- Organizational skills and multi-tasking ability a must
- Experience in a small business environment a must
- Well versed in IT software such as Microsoft Excel and CRM systems
- 60 WPM typing speed
