They manufactured concrete block three days a week and delivered block three days a week depending on demand. The founder's spouse was technically a fourth employee, but she was not on the payroll. She would spend Florida days without air conditioning, sitting in her car doing the bookkeeping because they had no office. As time went on, they conservatively grew their business from one plant to five plants under a single roof. This successful team worked together for over fifty-two years. Now, the company is managed by the third generation of the family with twelve other locations besides Orlando.
The company has an immediate need for Orland Processing Specialists at their main Orlando location.
ob Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Processing Specialists to manage incoming customer orders for concrete block products. This role is responsible for accurately entering orders received via phone, email, and online systems, coordinating with production and dispatch, and ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment of customer requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
- Accurately enter and process customer orders into the company system
- Verify order details including product type, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to ensure order availability and delivery scheduling
- Provide customers with product information, pricing, and order status updates
- Resolve order discrepancies, issues, or customer concerns efficiently
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions and transactions
- Assist with invoicing, order tracking, and documentation as needed
- Support the sales team with order-related tasks and customer follow-up
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in order processing, customer service, or administrative support preferred
- Experience in construction materials or manufacturing industry is a plus
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and order entry systems/ERP software
