Snelling Staffing is hiring a Custodial Services Tech for a location in North Canton!

• Shift is Monday - Friday and some weekends
• Dayshift but will need to be flexible to work Evenings and Midnights
• Weekly pay starting at $15
• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of custodial or cleaning services
• Pass a Background and Drug Test

Essential Functions:

Custodial duties encompass maintaining a clean and orderly environment, including tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, and performing minor repairs. Here's a more detailed breakdown of common custodial duties: General Cleaning & Maintenance:

• Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and vacuuming various floor types (wood, tile, linoleum, carpet).
• Dusting & Cleaning Surfaces: Dusting furniture, shelves, and other surfaces, cleaning windows, and polishing metal fixtures.
• Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities, restocking supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Trash Disposal: Emptying trash receptacles, bagging trash for proper disposal, and managing recycling.
• Ventilation: Changing air filters and cleaning vents.
• Minor Repairs: Addressing minor maintenance issues like leaky faucets, burned-out light bulbs, or damaged furniture.
• Grounds Maintenance: Keeping the grounds clean and orderly, including sidewalks, and removing debris.

Specific Tasks:

• Event Setup/Tear Down: Setting up tables and chairs for events, and tearing them down afterwards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and servicing custodial equipment.
• Safety & Security: Reporting safety hazards, locking and unlocking doors and windows, and ensuring the building is secure.
• Inventory Management: Keeping track of cleaning supplies and ordering them as needed.
• Pest Control: Addressing issues with indoor pests.

Skills and Qualities:

• Attention to Detail: Spotting stains, smudges, and other areas needing attention.
• Reliability: Being punctual and dependable, as tasks often occur outside of regular business hours.
• Physical Stamina: Being able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and lifting.
• Knowledge of Cleaning Products & Equipment: Understanding how to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
• Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with supervisors and other staff members.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
