POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Integration Solution Architect to design, develop, and oversee integration solutions for the Coupa SaaS procurement platform and its connections with Amazon and multiple internal enterprise applications.

This is NOT a Coupa Administration role. The primary focus is integration architecture, solution design, data movement, technical documentation, and technical leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing API- and ETL-based integrations, working with cloud and SaaS technologies, collaborating with development and security teams, and translating business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.

Note: Direct Coupa or Snowflake experience is not a deal-breaker. The primary requirement is strong integration architecture and solution design experience. Candidates with strong integration architecture backgrounds who can quickly learn the Coupa environment will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop integration architectures connecting Coupa with enterprise applications and data sources.

• Gather and analyze technical and business requirements from business partners and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Understand existing technical architecture, system functionality, business objectives, and technology limitations.

• Create architecture diagrams, technical design documents, data-flow documentation, and other solution documentation.

• Design and implement both API-based and ETL-based integration solutions.

• Define how data moves securely and efficiently between Coupa and other enterprise applications.

• Identify integration issues, technical constraints, and security risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Work closely with developers to communicate technical designs and oversee implementation.

• Create user stories and technical requirements for development teams.

• Collaborate with Security, Enterprise Architecture, application teams, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee testing activities to ensure integration solutions produce the expected results.

• Work with application teams to deploy new functionality and resolve production issues through appropriate architecture or integration changes.

• Conduct technical experiments and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and develop effective solutions.

• Use data and technical analysis to make recommendations and support business and technology decisions.

• Submit solutions for security review and ensure that solutions meet applicable security and compliance requirements.

• Support deployment, production implementation, and post-production issue resolution.

• Work within a team consisting of internal CAT employees and managed services resources provided by external suppliers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience in Integration Architecture, Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, or a similar capacity.

• Strong understanding of current technical architectures, application functionality, and system dependencies.

• Ability to understand business objectives and ensure that proposed architecture and technical solutions support those objectives.

• Experience working with developers, security teams, application teams, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders.

• Experience gathering requirements from multiple business partners and creating detailed technical design documentation.

• Experience creating architecture diagrams and documenting integration/data flows.

• Hands-on experience with API and ETL integration architectures.

• Experience working with SaaS and cloud-based technologies.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience supporting enterprise applications used by large and/or globally distributed user populations.

• Ability to evaluate technology options, conduct technical experiments, and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

IMPORTANT CANDIDATE CONSIDERATIONS

• Strong integration architecture and solution design experience is more important than direct Coupa experience.

• Candidates with Coupa administration-only experience will not be a strong fit.

• Candidates should demonstrate experience with enterprise application integrations, API/ETL architecture, cloud/SaaS technologies, and technical design.

• Avoid candidates with a consistent pattern of short-term assignments or choppy job tenure.

• Local candidates are preferred.

• If a non-local candidate is willing to relocate at their own expense and be onsite from Day 1, this must be clearly stated on the resume.
