What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Aide position at Smoky Ridge Health & Rehabilitation?
The hospitality aide supports nursing and the facility staff by assisting with non-clinical tasks that enhance resident comfort, safety, and overall experience. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.
LOOKING TO HIRE FOR ALL SHIFTS (DAYS, EVENINGS, AND NIGHTS)
Key Responsibilities:
Greet residents, families, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
Assist residents with non care needs such as:
Delivering meals, snacks, and hydration
Labeling personal items
Making beds
Tidying resident rooms
Ensuring wheelchairs are clean
Change oxygen and nebulizer tubing weekly
Help to maintain clean and organized environment in resident rooms and common areas throughout the facility
Answer call lights and report resident needs to nursing staff promptly
Provide companionship and engage residents in conversation and activities.
Pass gloves to resident rooms.
Report any concerns or changes in resident condition to licensed staff immediately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in health care setting is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow directions and stay on task in a fast paced work environment.
Work Environment:
Long term care/Skilled nursing facility setting
Frequent interaction with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Additional information:
This position DOES NOT provide direct hands-on clinical care to residents (such as bathing, toileting, transferring, etc)
Opportunity for growth into a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) is available in which the facility will help to pay for you to become certified at local partnering college.
