Role Overview:
As an Investment Banking Associate, you will play a key role in the execution of M&A transactions within the Industrials sector, supporting senior bankers on active mandates and business development initiatives. You will take ownership of core execution workstreams, mentor Analysts and juniors alike.

Title: Industrials Investment Banking – Associate
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Salary: $135,000 – $150,000 Bonus
Firm: National Middle Market Investment Banking Platform, boutique Industrials shop
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior bankers in the execution of buy-side and (primarily) sell-side M&A transactions across the Industrials/ Industrials Services sector.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, DCF, and comparable company analyses.
- Prepare high-quality client presentations, management presentations, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), and pitch materials.
- Assist with due diligence processes, data room management, and coordination with client management and counterparties.
- Conduct industry research, analyze trends, and track key developments across relevant subsectors.
- Participate in client meetings, calls, and communications with potential buyers/investors.
- Contribute to origination efforts, including research, prospecting, and pitch preparation.
- Work closely with Analysts and provide guidance where needed to ensure product quality.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of Investment Banking experience, preferably with a focus in Industrials or related verticals.
- Will consider Buy side and or Consulting experience in the P&U and Infrastructure sectors or any Industrials segments
- Bachelor's and or MBA is preferred
- Strong transaction execution experience; M&A deal experience is required (sell-side exposure strongly preferred).
- Exceptional modeling, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
- Series 79 and 63 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain shortly after joining).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
