TITLE: Garment Lead

LOCATION: Kent, WA

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 6am – 2:30pm during training then 5am-1:30pm

PAY: $22.05

SUMMARY:

The Garment Lead works alongside production team members while providing limited leadership support to help the team meet daily production and quality goals. This role performs many of the same tasks as garment production associates (such as feeders or folders) while also assisting with training, workflow coordination, and monitoring efficiency on the floor.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Support and guide production teams to help meet daily efficiency, quality, and safety standards

·        Train and assist new hires on production tasks and workflows

·        Prepare work areas, stage production materials, and organize workflow for efficiency

·        Monitor product quality and assist in resolving production issues

·        Monitor supplies and report equipment malfunctions; clear minor jams when possible

·        Provide coverage and support across production areas during absences, vacations, or staffing needs

·        Operate laundry production equipment and/or powered industrial trucks as directed

·        Count, sort, inspect, and process garments and textiles

·        Feed, fold, grade, roll, wrap, tie, or package products according to production needs

·        Perform additional production or operational tasks as required



REQUIREMENT SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

·        Ability to read, write, and speak English

·        Computer literate/basic computer skills

·        Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize colors, sizes, SKUs, and product types

·        Good numerical skills for counting, sorting, and tracking items accurately

·        Strong memory and comprehension for learning processes and procedures

·        Ability to inspect, recognize, and grade products based on quality standards

·        Good problem-solving ability with investigative and critical thinking skills

·        Ability to follow direction while also supporting team productivity

·        Positive attitude, reliability, and strong attendance

·        Willingness and desire to learn and grow within the company

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·        Standing and walking for extended periods

·        Reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting

·        Lifting up to 75 lbs when required

·        Ability to hear, speak, and communicate effectively in a production environment
