This role handles discrepancy research, credits/debits, collections tracking, and weekly aging reports while ensuring accurate records and adherence to company credit policies. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive to inquiries, comfortable in a fast-paced operations environment, and able to maintain positive customer relationships. Occasional phone support is required.JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:·Perform daily accounts receivable billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.·Research and resolve billing discrepancies, debit memos, and related issues; process and post credits or debits to customer accounts as needed.·Prepare and post customer payments on a daily basis.·Maintain organized records, files, and supporting documentation for all A/R activity.·Review aging reports regularly and report noteworthy past-due accounts to management.·Initiate and track collection activities, including documenting communication, payment arrangements, and follow-up actions.·Ensure adherence to established credit policies and procedures while maintaining strong customer relationships.·Maintain accurate and updated customer information within the billing and A/R systems.·Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries related to accounts receivable.·Provide credit references as requested, following established guidelines.·Assist with general phone coverage as needed.REQUIREMENT SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:·Accounts Receivable Expertise: Solid understanding of A/R processes including invoicing, payment posting, account reconciliation, and collections.·Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies, ensure billing accuracy, and maintain precise financial records.·Analytical Skills: Strong capability to research variances, interpret aging reports, and resolve account issues efficiently.·Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.·Customer Service Orientation: Ability to maintain positive relationships while navigating credit issues and collection efforts.·Organization & Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing daily tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple accounts simultaneously.·Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using accounting or ERP systems, spreadsheets, and general office software for data entry and reporting.·Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive mindset for identifying issues, recommending solutions, and following through to resolution.·Confidentiality & Professionalism: Maintains discretion with customer financial information and sensitive internal data.·Team Collaboration: Works effectively with operations, finance, and administrative staff; willing to assist with shared office responsibilities such as phone support.·Adaptability: Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, deadlines, and customer needs.SmartTalent Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receiveconsideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. #STHMG
