SmartTalent is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Deburr Technician to support production operations in a quality-driven manufacturing environment. This role requires working under tight deadlines while maintaining strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, and established procedures. The position involves handling precision machined components, performing repetitive and detail-focused tasks, and ensuring work meets exact specifications and quality requirements.

Essential Duties

·        Complete assigned deburring tasks using work orders, standard work instructions, parts lists, blueprints, detail components, and process control documents.

·        Independently set up and perform a broad range of deburring operations on complex parts, including part salvage, rework, blending cutter transitions, creating edge breaks, and blending to tight tolerance finish dimensions.

·        Safely and effectively operate various deburring tools and equipment, including angle grinders, pencil grinders, rotary burr tools, cartridge rolls, files, Scotch-Brite, and buffing wheels.

·        Use precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions and conformance.

·        Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.

·        Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with company standards.

·        Meet attendance expectations and maintain reliability throughout the work year.

·        Perform additional related duties as assigned to support production needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·        Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

·        Working knowledge of applicable specifications and drawing requirements.

·        Ability to rework or salvage nonconforming parts to meet dimensional and cosmetic standards.

·        Strong understanding of deburring techniques, best practices, and quality expectations.

·        Ability to assist with on-the-job training and support skill development of team members.

Minimum Qualifications

·        High school diploma or GED equivalent, or demonstrated ability to perform essential job duties.

·        Three or more years of experience working with precision machined components.

·        Preferred Qualifications

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Experience interpreting aerospace drawings and specifications.
