Slate is seeking a servant-minded Senior Manager, Product Development FP&A to lead all aspects of Product Development FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support across our fast-scaling organization. This role will be instrumental in establishing the financial planning infrastructure required to support capital-intensive vehicle development, prepare for production, and ultimately operate as a large automotive OEM.

- Own and track bill of material cost and product investment across vehicle programs, from early concept through launch.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for Product Development, covering both operating and capital expenditures.
- Build and lead a high-impact Product Development FP&A team, scaling capabilities to support current programs and future growth.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and Purchasing to align technical decisions with cost, timing, and investment priorities.
- Deliver clear, actionable financial insights and report to senior leadership to support fast, informed decisions.
- Design, improve, and scale financial systems, tools, and processes that increase transparency, speed, and discipline across product development.
- Challenge assumptions, surface tradeoffs early, and ensure capital is deployed where it drives the most value.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5-10 years of financial planning and analysis experience. Experience in product development finance preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
