What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Group Sales Manager position at SkyBridge Luxury & Associates?
JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibility but not limited to solicitation of group business in accordance with the individual and team goals as well as accomplishing property budget and or forecast group room revenue, room rental and catered food and beverage. Exercising, knowledge, and skill in the use of fundamental principles associated with identifying, developing, and creating markets that meet hotel objectives and targets. Participating in daily business review, working with other departments within the hotels to provide quality service to customers.
JOB DUTIES
1. Monitor and handle inquiry calls on a timely basis within the same business day. Replies to all assigned inquiries to include by not limited to all groups more than ten guest rooms per night excluding catering events/social room blocks.
2. Conduct property site visits, follow up after site with related details to completing all action steps to closing the sales and turnover process.
3. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards which include following SOP for the turnover of booked groups. Adhere to all Accounting policies regarding payment.
4. Ability to communicate with your supervisor(s) clearly and consistently, including notification of pertinent information.
5. Maintain daily lead log, respond within same day to all leads.
6. Seek approval of group rates and terms including concessions from the Director of Revenue and Director of Sales and Catering.
7. Represent the hotel in professional organizations virtually or in person as well as industry related events to maintain high visibility and promote sales.

9. Solicit new and existing accounts to generate business in assigned market, and to meet/exceed revenue goals and budget requirements consisting of: Telephone solicitation, conduct pre-scheduled appointments (inclusive but not limited to client lunch appointments, schedule site inspections – when on property), conduct outside and virtual sales calls. Actively solicit and market group business in all segments including Corporate, Association, Incentive following hotel standards for all geographic and international segments.
10. Be familiar with all Hotel services/features, meeting room set ups, and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
11. Always maintain positive guest relations, resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
12. Develop and maintain monthly & quarterly actions plan strategies with consistent updated results.
13. Work in concert with the Director of Group Sales to develop ongoing promotions as well as need time periods.
14. Maintaining all group lead sourcing tools including CVENT, CVB etc. with photos, content, promotions, packages and need period.
15. Foster relationship with the local CVB to generate leads and rooms revenue.
16. Contact clients after scheduled functions to ensure guest satisfaction and to solicit re-bookings.
17. Responsible for account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
18. Assist with development of strategies anticipating sales needs, product responses, delivery systems and methods for measuring and evaluating results for but not limited to group sales and catering revenue.
19. Ensure Sales Associates develop and execute sales plans to provide direction and specific strategies related but not limited to group sales with catering revenue.
20. Develop, implement, and evaluate short and long-term initiative-taking tactics and communications to mitigate any potential short falls in group revenue goals for a rolling 36-month period.
21. Ensure accurate and current sales-related data is readily available to support and document decision-making processes.
22. Maintain a goal of 90% or better on shop scores. Scores less than 80% require a timely review with a quantified action plan for improvement.
23. All other tasks as assigned by management. Which may include but is not limited to assisting or managing servicing groups and events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
On site in Jackson, WY or remote within Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado or Washington
· Minimum of 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with a strong focus on group, corporate, association, or incentive business
· Demonstrated experience prospecting, negotiating, and closing group room blocks, meeting space, and related Food & Beverage revenue
· Proven ability to meet or exceed individual revenue goals supporting overall property budget and forecast objectives
· Working knowledge of group sales systems and CRM tools (Delphi or comparable system) and Microsoft Office
· Strong understanding of group pricing, concessions, and sales strategy, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Revenue Management and Finance
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and client correspondence
· Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
· Experience working cross‑functionally with Conference Services, Catering, Reservations, Finance, and Operations
· Willingness and ability to travel for sales calls, site inspections, and industry events as required
· Professional demeanor with a high level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail
