Position: Controls Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a Controls Engineer to lead the electrical and controls scope for complex, custom-built packaging machinery. This role owns projects end-to-end—from design and programming through testing, commissioning, and customer support—while collaborating closely with a global controls team and in-house mechanical engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Design, modify, and upgrade complete electrical control systems (schematics, panels, wiring)
• Develop and enhance PLC and HMI programs using Rockwell Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering during R&D and prototype builds
• Integrate third-party equipment (fillers, feeders, printers, etc.)
• Support installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer service as needed

What We’re Looking For

• BSEE or Associate degree in a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in machinery controls and automation
• Strong proficiency in Rockwell Logix (motion control, cam profiling, servo sizing)
• Experience with FactoryTalk View and AutoCAD Electrical
• Solid working knowledge of NEC, NFPA-79, and UL standards
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and passport; authorized to work in the U.S.
