Quality Inspection Technician

Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspection Technician to support inspection activities within our aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting precision machined metal components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with precision measuring tools and a solid understanding of machining processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform first article, in-process, and final inspections of machined aerospace componentsInspect metal parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specificationsUtilize precision measuring instruments including:Micrometers (ID/OD)CalipersHeight gaugesDial indicatorsBore gaugesThread gaugesOptical comparatorsInterpret technical drawings, blueprints, and inspection plansDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify and report non-conforming material in accordance with quality proceduresSupport root cause investigations and corrective actions as neededMaintain a clean and organized inspection area in compliance with AS9100 standardsQualifications2 years of inspection experience within aerospace or precision machining environmentStrong experience inspecting machined metal componentsProficient with hand measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, comparators, etc.)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&TExperience with vision inspection systems (e.g., Keyence) is preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with AS9100 or aerospace quality systems is a plusStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsPreferred SkillsFirst Article Inspection (FAI) experience (AS9102 knowledge a plus)Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other aerospace alloysBasic understanding of CMM reports (not required but beneficial)
