Assistant Controller
Full-Time | Exempt | Reports to VP, Finance
Overview
Seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support financial operations in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on financial reporting, cost accounting, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close and prepare financial statements (GAAP)
- Manage cost accounting, inventory, and variance analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audits
- Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency
- Drive ERP and process improvement initiatives
- Supervise and develop accounting team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CMA preferred
- 8 years accounting experience; Big 4 background preferred
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- 2 years leadership experience
- Strong GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP knowledge
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
