Automotive dealership group seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.DutiesProcess biweekly payroll and monthly payroll cycles.Maintain employee records related to wages, benefits, tax withholdings, and deductions.Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for payroll transactions.Administer benefits programs, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.Perform data entry tasks accurately within various financial software platforms.SkillsMust have strong payroll and accounting experience.Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.Understanding of governmental accounting standards and tax regulations affecting payroll.Excellent analysis skills for reviewing payroll reports and resolving discrepancies.Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy.This is a temporary to permanent position; once hired on permanent would be eligible for benefits.
