Ready to put your technical skills to work producing high-quality aluminum coils? As a Slitter Technician, you'll operate and maintain the machinery that turns raw aluminum coils into precisely cut products, ready to meet exact customer specifications Β and we'll pay you more as you learn more.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate slitting machines to process aluminum coils according to job orders and customer specifications
- Adjust slitter settings, tension control, and machine speeds for precise cuts and efficient operation
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and keep equipment running at peak performance
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality, ensuring adherence to company and customer standards
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and minimize waste
- Collaborate with quality control and production teams to resolve material or equipment issues
- Accurately complete production reports, including material usage and downtime
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with company policy
- Help train and mentor new team members on proper slitter operation and safety protocols
- Look for opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and product quality
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation a plus
- Previous experience operating slitting machines, preferably in aluminum or metal processing
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting

Work Environment
