MS Math Teacher

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence in teaching Math including grading and recording assessments in a timely manner
• Demonstrate knowledge in the area of middle school coursework and have the ability to explain Mathematics concepts well and has the ability to teach HS credit Algebra 1 
• Demonstrate sound classroom management skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of the developmental age of a middle school student
• Cultivate a positive learning environment
• Tutor students in the subject matter taught
• Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress
• Integrate appropriate technology to make student learning fun, collaborative and interactive
• Sponsor and organize a J-Term course
• Support ideas and policies of the administration
• Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing and technology skills
• Able to collaborate with teachers and parents as partners
• Able to disciple and mentor middle school students
• Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview in teaching Mathematics

• Prompt and continuous attendance on campus

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree with Mathematics endorsement
• Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team
• Willingness to obtain an ACSI certification
